NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — The Nampa Bicycle Project, a local nonprofit, will be closing at the end of this year unless they can find a new location and a new director.
The shop is currently located at 1510 1st Street South in Downtown Nampa in a Nampa School District warehouse. Current director and founder, LaRita Schandorff is stepping down but would like to see the work continue.
They have distributed almost 400 bicycles in an effort to meet a need for transportation and healthy, affordable recreation.
The bicycle shop will need to find a new location because the school district needs to expand its space.
